Python Ireland Talks - January 2013 @ Gresham Hotel Dublin

Jan. 9, 2013, 7 p.m.

Happy New Year! Thanks to Jakub and Hrishi, we'll be kicking off our 2013 events with a couple of talks.

We will also have a new startup spot as part of our talks, and we are delighted to welcome Ger Gilroy, of newstalk fame, ready to explain what Balls.net is all about, and Sean Blanchfield who will talk about Scale Front.

People are also free to jump in with lightning talks.

NOTE: The talk will be in the Joyce room (no wheelchair access).

Event is free and all levels are welcome.

Beginners guide to Django Webapp deployment (Hrishikesh Ballal)

Duration
10mins
Description

This is a lightning talk

The talk will be focused on tools / libraries / companies we use to deploy hopefully it will help the beginners in attendance.

Multi-Mechanize (Jakub Jarosz)

Duration
15mins
Description

Multi-Mechanize is an open source framework for performance and load testing. It runs concurrent Python scripts to generate load (synthetic transactions) against a remote site or service.

Multi-Mechanize is most commonly used for web performance and scalability testing, but can be used to generate workload against any remote API accessible from Python.

During this talk I will present a few short use cases and run a quick demo.
